Large Leather Desk Mat – Crocodile

As with all of our products – we’ve endeavoured to make our deskmat as sustainably produced as possible. We source our hides from end-of-life dairy cows from the UK, Italy, and Northern Europe when they are eventually butchered for their meat; these are hides that would otherwise go to waste. We then bring these hides to our tannery in Waalwijk, the Netherlands and tan them using a unique process that leads to very high-quality premium leather that is naturally waterproof meaning coffee spills are no longer going to be a pain to clean. Then, we cure and treat this leather to make it highly resistant to cutting, staining, and marking. The result of this process is a leather deskmat that you can count on for many years to come. In fact, as it ages it’ll develop a gorgeous natural patina, making it unique to you.

The Leather surface is smooth and hard – protecting your desk from any scratches or dents and providing a lovely ergonomic surface to write on. Your deskmat will double up as a mouse mat and, due to the suede-like bottom side, won’t slip around your desk.

If you do manage to get your deskmat dirty, the process of cleaning it couldn’t be any easier; because of the treatment of the leather all you must do is simply use a soft cloth with lukewarm water and perhaps some natural soap to wipe it down.

The fact that that we make each deskmat by hand and to order means that you have the ability to customise the knife roll to make it exclusively yours. Firstly, you can choose from one of six different colours depending on what will suit your aesthetic best. On top of this, you have the option to engrave a metal tag with your name or restaurant, or even the ability to have text, a logo or a pattern engraved into your leather desk mat. To do this our artisans use a laser to burn off the top layer of the leather with precision before they meticulously go over the logo in a finish of your colour. This level of personalisation makes the deskmat the perfect centre-piece around which to build your professional workspace.
